A Foundation Built on Empowerment
The Shams Family Foundation (SFF), of The Dallas Foundation, is a USA-registered foundation built on empowerment — giving people the tools, confidence, and opportunity to take control of their own future through education and economic independence. Our philosophy is simple: No handouts. Just hand-up.
We build Learn & Earn launch pads — structured partnerships with colleges, universities, and training institutions that carry students from admission through to career, without the cost and complexity that normally stand in the way.
SFF is also the founding organization behind two partner institutions that extend the Learn & Earn model internationally: WWCoF (World Wide Council of Foundations), which designs and coordinates pathways abroad, and FBAS in Germany, which anchors integration for students and professionals who land there.

The Learn & Earn Roadmap
Learn & Earn is more than a name — students earn a wage from day one, not just study. Getting there runs in six stages, from first outreach to long-term, post-arrival support.
Identify
Community outreach and candidate screening in the regions the program serves.
Prepare
Structured language instruction and skills assessment, aligned to each program's requirements.
Match
Matching each candidate's needs with the right opportunity — we guide the way, but the choice is theirs.
Mobilise
Visa application support, document authentication, and pre-departure cultural and workplace orientation.
Integrate
On-the-ground support to help candidates settle into their new environment, through our partners at the destination.
Sustain
Ongoing post-arrival mentorship, regular check-ins, and integration into our alumni network.
